Why are we called
“Isle Royale”?

Remote and wild, Isle Royale National Park is an island in Michigan’s Lake Superior that inspired our brand’s founders. You have to work hard to get there, but the payoff is unmatched. That is the spirit behind what we do: Go the extra mile to make women’s hunting and fishing gear that fits and functions in the field and on the water.

Our History

Isle Royale Outfitters was created in 2020 to meet a serious need: Co-founders Kathleen and Alex were frustrated with the lack of modern, well-fitting, and high-performance apparel available for women who hunt and fish.

The brand was developed specifically to serve sportswomen, who have been woefully underrepresented in the market despite being the fastest-growing demographic in the outdoor industry. Isle Royale Outfitters quickly gained recognition and was featured on the Artemis Podcast, Huntress View, and local news outlets in Michigan.

Under new ownership since 2024, Isle Royale Outfitters continues its commitment to making gear that women can rely on, whether you’re just starting out or have been hunting and fishing for years.
